Changing Model A Points can be a pain because you often end up retiming the engine.

But there's an easier way!  You can simply grind down the two sides of the ignition-points post so they slide off.

Well, they don't exactly slide off, but you can lift them off with a flathead screwdriver.

That's a lot easier than pulling off the upper distributor plate and retiming the engine every time you change points.  BTW, click here for Marco Tahtaras' article on Model A timing.
